Pakatan Harapan candidate for the Silam state seat has withdrawn from the Sabah election, stepping away from what had become a politically awkward “love-triangle” clash involving two federal partners.

Abdul Halim Sidek Gulam Hassan announced his decision after “careful consideration” and discussions with Harapan’s leadership.
