The High Court in Shah Alam today sentenced singer and composer Muhammad Yasin Sulaiman to life imprisonment and 16 strokes of the cane over three drug offences.

Judge Norsharidah Awang made the decision after allowing the prosecution’s appeal against the acquittal and discharge of the 49-year-old singer by the Petaling Jaya Sessions Court on Nov 29 last year.
