COMMENT | Gunung Kanthan: Facts behind the recent news

COMMENT | Over the past two weeks, there has been a resurgence of news reports and social media posts concerning the Dhamma Sakyamuni Caves Monastery (Dhamma Sakyamuni) in Kanthan.

We recognise that matters involving religion, heritage and the environment can evoke strong emotions and reactions.

It is therefore important that public discussion is grounded in facts and the full history of the matter, to ensure these emotions are not exploited by incomplete or misleading narratives.
