Chinese schools #metoo moment
A "Me Too" movement appears to be on the rise in Chinese schools.
It all started at the Foon Yew Independent High School in Kulai, Johor, where students and alumni alleged that a male student had doctored sexually explicit photos of them.
The school's initial reaction triggered backlash for alleged victim blaming, after which even more sexual harassment allegations surfaced, including from 15 years ago.
The alleged perpetrator in the first case has been expelled, while the school's principal has also resigned.
Meanwhile, in Kedah, a teacher at the Keat Hwa Independent High School was arrested over the weekend for alleged sexual harassment against a student.

PKR poll results in dispute
Results from the just-concluded PKR division polls are causing an upset.
The divisional polls have been plagued by reports of irregularities, which have seen several factions sweep the committee elections, only to have their faction leader lose the contest for division head.
This led to a strange trend nationwide, dubbed by some as a “body without a head” scenario, where the team wins, but the leader loses.
Prominent losers include minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, deputy minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir, and a slew of MPs.
The calamity has prompted the PKR central committee to call for an early meeting on Wednesday to discuss the alleged irregularities.

High alert for flag gaffes
Many people appear to be on the lookout for Malaysian flags that contain errors after the Sin Chew Daily gaffe.
The latest involves a promotional video at a baby expo, where again, the Jalur Gemilang is missing its crescent moon.
Government spokesperson Fahmi Fadzil mobilised PKR and Umno to lodge reports over the latest incident.
Meanwhile, amid the hypervigilance, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's social media team made its own boo-boo when a post about him meeting his Thai counterpart used a romantic betrayal song as the soundtrack.
