Even more political appointments
Two more politicians have been appointed to government-linked posts.
Umno supreme council member Reezal Merican Naina Merican is now the chairperson of Matrade - a GLC meant to help market Malaysian companies abroad.
Meanwhile, comedian turned PKR member Afdlin Shauki was appointed as the boss of the Federal Territories Foundation’s (YWP) media arm - with plans to create a portal focusing on “positive news”.
Prime Minister and PKR president Anwar Ibrahim is the YWP chairperson.

Bersatu dabbles in numerology
Bersatu supreme council member Muhammad Faiz Na'aman is trying to create a buzz with a cryptic message about reaching “126”.
Faiz has refused to go into details, and this has stirred speculation that he is hinting at another impending coup.
However, there is no possible combination of political parties that when added to PN’s 74 seats totals 126.
Splitting a party or coalition, meanwhile, risks triggering the anti-hopping law, since parties like Umno have plugged loopholes whereby rogue MPs are considered to have resigned from the party - leading to a seat being declared vacant.
BN has also denied plotting against the prime minister.
Meanwhile, Bersatu activist Chegubard is trying to start a street movement to oust Anwar Ibrahim.
Police are investigating the gathering he held to announce his plans.

DAP path for KJ premiership?
Amid persistent rumours that he is being pursued by PN, Khairy Jamaluddin was offered an alternative route to mark a return to active politics and achieve his dream of becoming prime minister.
During an episode of his podcast, Khairy asked his guest, former Bangi MP Ong Kian Ming, whether he should join DAP and why.
Ong responded with a yes, adding that Khairy would fit the bill as a prime minister candidate for DAP.
