The minimum wage is under review, with the government considering whether to retain the current RM1,700 monthly rate or raise it further.

Human Resources Minister R Ramanan said the review is being carried out under Section 25 of the National Wages Consultative Council Act 2011, with a final decision to be made after the National Wage and Gig Consultative Council (MPGGN) completes the rate-setting process.
