The United States’ chief legal officers will investigate the International Federation of Association Football’s (Fifa) ticketing practices for the 2026 World Cup, reported PA Media/dpa.

The attorneys-general of New York and New Jersey are demanding answers from Fifa following allegations that the organisation “artificially inflated prices” and “misled fans” over the sale of match tickets, with world football’s governing body subpoenaed to provide information.
