Amid an ongoing corruption trial, PKR has replaced Shamsul Iskandar Akin, former senior political secretary to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, as the party's Malacca chief.

PKR secretary-general Fuziah Salleh said the party's political bureau has named Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli Abdul Halim to lead the Malacca state leadership council in an acting capacity, effective Dec 15.
