Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman said that he has been given a limited government funding of RM200,000 for Muar, claiming that this came with tight conditions.

On his Instagram page, the Muar MP said that after nearly two years of fighting for parliamentary allocation for his constituency, he was only given a nominal sum, which is subject to a thorough audit.
