Mazhilamani: MACC must do what is right for the country and people, and not wait for anybody's instruction in recovering money and assets acquired questionably.

Yes, anyone can vociferously maintain their rights and innocence; let them prove it in court.

Many affluent business people do honest business by declaring their assets wherever they are located and filing the tax returns through reputable tax consultancy companies, and they have never come under the spotlight of the different authorities.

What is so special about politicians electing to do good for the people, develop, unite and progress the country, and not use their position for personal and family gain?

We all talk about the afterlife, fate, the law of retribution, and karma, but why do we need so much more for our individual self and family and even for the future generations we are unlikely to see?

Siva1967: Na’imah Abdul Khalid, you are fully entitled to challenge any action taken by the MACC or the courts against you, your family, or the estate of your late husband Daim Zainuddin.

In fact, you also possess the financial means to do so.

As long as you or your family can clearly demonstrate that the wealth accumulated was genuinely earned through legitimate means, and not the result of questionable dealings that may have benefited your late husband, then you have every right to pursue justice.

It is no secret that your late husband was a “savvy” businessperson, and an even more astute finance minister.

Therefore, there is no need for theatrics. Do what you believe is right and allow the justice system to take its course.

If the outcome is not in your favour, then so be it - perhaps it was never rightfully yours to begin with.

If a law already exists, then don’t stop with this family. There are so many in the same ‘sampan’ who have got off so easily.

MACC should pursue all fair and square. Past cases of indecent wealth must also be seized, starting with former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak.

What is yours and your late husband's will always remain with you and should remain with you. It is not anyone's business or problem that you own X amount.

No one has the right to grab that from you, be it the authorities or thieves.

God will always stand by you and guide you with the right people and more importantly, give you the strength and courage to defend your properties.

The government is wasting its time and our money looking for evidence of “corruption” that does not exist.

How are they family assets? How many more assets are still hidden and not declared?

Annonimous 4500: All those who have unaccounted wealth should have their assets confiscated. When in power and position, no one dares to touch them.
