Ministry probes Langkawi eatery for pricing fried chicken at RM20 a plate

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry has issued a Goods Information Verification Notice (NPMB) against a food trader who allegedly sold "kunyit" (turmeric) fried chicken at RM20 per plate at the shop at Pantai Chenang in Langkawi.

The ministry’s Kedah chapter director Affendi Rajini Kanth said the notice was issued under Section 21 of the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act (Akhap) 2011 yesterday and the trader must submit information regarding the preparation of the meal within two working days...
