COVID-19 | The Health Ministry today reported 5,671 new Covid-19 cases today.

Today marked the first time the number of active Covid-19 cases was below the 80,000 mark after nine days.

However, the number of confirmed Covid-19 positive patients requiring intensive care or require a ventilator is still rising and has reached new records.

On a more positive note, the positivity rate has dropped to 5.67 percent, which is considerably lower than the average of 6.84 percent observed over the past three days.

As of last night, 11.23 percent of the adult population has received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccines.

  • Active cases: 79,848
  • Patients in ICU: 911
  • Intubated: 462
