1. Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi warned that "enemies" were trying to take over his party after failing to destroy it.

2. MCA called for a ceasefire amid the Umno-Bersatu tussle. It also pledged to remain with BN, which could potentially clash with Perikatan Nasional (PN) in the next general election.

3. MCA president Wee Ka Siong also urged the Chinese community to give his party another chance, telling them not to put all their eggs "in one basket", in reference to Pakatan Harapan.

4. PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said his party is committed to Muslim unity as it tries to convince Umno and Bersatu to join forces.
