1. Several states, including all of the Klang Valley, will be back under a full movement control order (MCO) at midnight.

2. Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said the MCO is necessary because the public health system cannot cope with over 2,000 new Covid-19 cases daily.

3. Yesterday saw 2,232 new cases and for the first time, Sarawak broke three-digits during the third wave.

4. The government was panned after it was revealed that detailed standard operating procedures on the MCO will only be released seven hours before implementation.

5. All students under MCO states are expected to learn from home, except for those who will be taking exams.

6. The Health Ministry revealed that it detected the more infectious UK variant of Covid-19 but managed to contain it.
