OFFICES

- Oasis Square, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

The management office confirmed that a staff member from Block D of Oasis Square tested positive for Covid-19.

It said the staff last visited Oasis Square on Oct 9 but only drove through to collect office documents from her colleague.

It said the management has carried out sanitisation and disinfection works in all common areas of Block D.

The Covid-19 patient's co-workers have also been ordered to undergo quarantine.

- Menara Bangkok Bank, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur

A few of their staff members based at the Menara Bangkok Bank on Jalan Ampang have tested positive for Covid-19.

The affected floors and common facilities have been sanitised, the bank said in a statement.

- JA Solar Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Penang

One of its employees had tested positive for Covid-19, causing the plant to be closed on Oct 25 till further notice.

It was also reported that 199 other employees who were found to be close contacts with the infected person have been ordered to undergo quarantine.


BUSINESSES

- Kedai Makan Hasnizu, Ketengah Jaya, Dungun, Terengganu

The Terengganu Health Department, in a Facebook message, called on people who have visited this restaurant in Dungun Terengganu between Oct 9 to Oct 22 to come forward.

It said these people should visit the Ketengah Jaya health clinic between 10am to 2pm today to be screened for Covid-19.

- Aeon Credit Service, Aeon Big Bukit Rimau and Aeon Credit Service, Kota Kinabalu

The company has confirmed that two of its employees in these two locations have tested positive. The cases were detected after the company conducted swab tests for all their frontline employees.

All other employees who have been in close contact were told to quarantine for 14 days.

The two branches of Aeon Credit Service are now closed for sanitisation until further notice.

- RHB Inanam Branch, Kota Kinabalu

An employee at this branch tested positive for Covid-19 on Oct 21, the bank said.

The employee had been in quarantine since Oct 8, after identified as a close contact of a Covid-19 patient.

The branch has been sanitised according to Ministry of Health guidelines.

- Machines Service Centre, Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur

Another employee of this outlet has tested positive for Covid-19 today, the company said.

She was last at the outlet on Oct 16 and was summoned for testing by the Ministry of Health on Oct 23, after contact with another case outside of work.

The outlet is closed for disinfection until further notice, its second time after Oct 11 when another employee tested positive.

- Bank Muamalat regional office, Johor Bahru

Bernama reported that the bank has announced that one of its employees at the office has tested positive for Covid-19. It said contact tracing is underway, as well as cleaning of both its premises at Kebun Teh Commercial City, Johor Bahru.

To mitigate health risks due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases, it said selected Bank Muamalat branches will operate from 9.15am to 3pm.

It added that one of its five employees in Kota Kinabalu who previously tested positive for Covid-19 has since recovered.


RESIDENCES

- Danau Murni Condominium, Taman Danau Desa, Kuala Lumpur

A resident of Level 7, Block A tested positive for Covid-19 on Oct 23, the management said.

Disinfection has been done and the management is waiting for instructions from the Health Ministry for further action.

- Taman Sentosa, Klang, Selangor

Klang MP Charles Santiago confirmed there were seven new cases here last Friday.

- Kampung Tanjung Kapor, Kudat, Sabah

At least 46 Covid-19 cases have been detected in this village, as part of the Kapor cluster, the Health Ministry said today.

Thirty of these were detected today, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.

Some 127 individuals have been screened with 81 test results still pending. 


GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

- Negeri Sembilan Education Department, Seremban

An employee at the examinations department has tested positive for Covid-19, Negeri Sembilan exco for education Mohamad Rafie Abdul Malek confirmed.

He said the department has been closed for sanitation while the employees' close contacts are screened for Covid-19.

- Penjara Tapah, Perak

At least 11 cases have been detected in this prison, including four today.

A total 2,268 individuals have been screened, of which 1,280 tested negative while 437 are pending.

- Jinjang Remand Centre, Kuala Lumpur

Two individuals detained at the Jinjang Remand Centre in Kuala Lumpur have tested positive with Covid-19, according to a notice issued by the Kuala Lumpur Bar to its lawyers.

The notice, which also serves as a caution to lawyers who have business at the detention facility, stated that the two were taken to Kuala Lumpur Court on Oct 19 where they were slapped with unspecified criminal charges before taken to the remand centre.

They then tested for the virus and the results that came back yesterday (Oct 25) confirmed that they were infected.


EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

- SMK Wira Penrissen, Kota Samarahan and SK Jalan Haji Baki, Kuching, Sarawak

Both schools are closed from today until Nov 1 after one student in each school tested positive for Covid-19.

The Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee said the schools are closed to facilitate sanitation, while classes will continue through e-learning.
