BUSINESSES
- All IT Hypermarket, Sogo Shopping Mall, Kuala Lumpur & Digital Mall, Petaling Jaya
An employee of the All IT Hypermarket on the seventh floor of Sogo Shopping Mall has tested positive for Covid-19 on Oct 16. The employee has not reported to work since Oct 12.
The mall will close the seventh floor today (Oct 17) for sanitisation and will reopen the floor on Sunday (Oct 18) except for the All IT Hypermarket which will remain closed until further notice.
An All IT Hypermarket employee at their branch in Digital Mall, Petaling Jaya also tested positive. The two infected employees are siblings.
The Petaling Jaya branch will also be closed temporarily with staff put under 14-day home quarantine.
- Jaya Grocer, Mutiara Tropicana, Selangor
A Jaya Grocer employee residing at the Tropicana Golf Club workers' hostel has tested positive for Covid-19.
The staff has not been to work at the Mutiara Tropicana outlet since Oct 6.
The management will be closing the outlet pending test results for all staff members.
- Bataras Hypermarket, Emporium supermarket, Utama Jaya supermarket - Labuan, Sabah
The three Labuan grocers were ordered to close after a customer who tested Covid-19 positive visited their premises recently, according to Bernama.
The businesses will be closed for three days to facilitate sanitisation works.
Vulnerable staff members - such as those working as cashiers and at counters - have been ordered to undergo tests and home quarantine.
- Bank Simpanan Nasional, Kota Kinabalu
The bank has confirmed that a total of two employees working at its main branch in Kota Kinabalu has tested positive for Covid-19.
The bank will be temporarily closed from Oct 19 until 25. All employees at the branch will undergo swab tests and contact tracing is underway.
- Foot Solutions, The Curve Shopping Mall, Mutiara Damansara
An employee of Foot Solutions informed the mall management on Oct 16 that they had tested positive for Covid-19.
All other staff of the shop were immediately tested and have been confirmed to be negative for Covid-19. They are currently under self-quarantine for 14 days.
The entire mall underwent deep cleaning and sanitisation overnight on Oct 16 and resumed operations as usual today (Oct 17).
- KL Fertility Centre, Damansara City Mall
The mall management had confirmed yesterday that the husband of a patient at the KL Fertility Centre, who had accompanied her to the outlet, has tested positive for Covid-19. The patient and her husband visited the outlet on Oct 5, 9, 13 and 15 and all their visits were prior to 8.30am.
The entire mall was closed for sanitisation for the night and resumed operations as usual today.
- Berry's bakery, Bandar Puchong Utama
The management was informed on Oct 16 that a part-time employee at the Berry’s Bandar Puchong Utama branch has tested positive for Covid-19. The employee has not reported to work since Oct 11.
The branch will be closed until further notice.
RESIDENCES
- Lake Point Residence, Cyberjaya
The management informed its residents on Oct 16 that there have been two positive cases identified in Phase 1 of the gated community, with both cases coming from the same household. The remaining members of the household are under home quarantine.
The management said it is arranging for a full sanitisation of the premises and all common facilities to be performed as soon as possible.
OFFICES
- Megan Avenue II, Kuala Lumpur
One of the tenants in Block C had informed the management on Oct 15 that one of their employees had tested positive for Covid-19.
The office unit was sanitised on Oct 15 while the common areas were sanitised on Oct 16.
- Wisma Mont Kiara
One employee of a tenant in Wisma Mont Kiara has tested positive for Covid-19 on Oct 16, who last entered the premises on Oct 9.
The Wisma Mont Kiara management said it had consulted with the Health Ministry which verified that it is not necessary to close off the entire tower but only the affected floor. As such, business in the tower will continue as usual.
The management will still be conducting deep cleaning and sanitisation of the premises, it added.
