Failure to pay RM200k in damages, PAS leader may face bankruptcy move

The Wakandan: This should serve as a lesson for all those who disseminate fake news and malicious lies. This should hurt their kind because we know that they like money.

You take away their money and they will suffer the pain of deprivation.

FairMalaysian: Yes, this serves the Perak PAS commissioner Razman Zakaria right. PAS leaders, from their president downwards, can't control their tongues.

The government may go easy on them in the name of free speech but the affected individuals have the liberty to sue.

Mosquitobrain: Indeed, teach PAS a lesson. The Kelantan PAS government can help pay for the RM254,150 damage (awarded to Perak Amanah deputy chairperson Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin). No big deal.

After all, it is only a third of the deputy menteri besar’s Mercedes Benz car price.

Rupert16: Zakaria deserves to be bankrupt for fitnah (slander). Let’s see if the PAS leaders are prepared to pull him out of this deep hole that he got himself into.

Alas, some of these leaders haven't awakened to the fact that the Umno-led BN government is no longer in power to protect or shield them from their shenanigans.

GalaxyM: Umno and PAS leaders have been so used to slander and telling lies against DAP and others.

If Zakaria cannot pay the compensation to Nizar, just make him a bankrupt to deter the former from telling lies, slander and making irresponsible hate speeches in future.

Kawak: More PAS leaders should be dragged to the courts. Next, it should be PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang. He has yet to apologise to G25 for claiming that the organisation is more dangerous than Al-Maunah.

G25 should proceed with legal action.

It’s time that they get them to show their support for a fellow PAS comrade. If each of them donates 20 or 30 sen, it will be enough to pay off the amount.

S'gor rep questions MACC's delay in probing MBPJ corruption claims

PW Cheng: We must appreciate Bukit Gasing assemblyperson Rajiv Risyakaran for his tenacity in pursuing claims of corruption and abuse of power within the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ).

I hope MACC will not let the people down by ignoring certain cases of corruption. It must be nipped in the bud.

Remember, a spark can turn into a disastrous bushfire wiping out thousands of hectares of forest land.

At least, you have received a response. They laughed at ours.

GalaxyM: Rajiv, keep it up. There are myriads of corruption involving government officials in the various states in the country.

MBPJ is a cash cow like DBKL (Kuala Lumpur City Hall), attention should be focused on those holding power in the states and in city councils.

Rajiv, you have the support of all the people who have witnessed how this country has been ruined by government officials abusing the power vested in them, only to enrich themselves, their families and their cronies.

Steven Ong: If MACC is lacking in human power, they should ask for more personnel. They can also authorise private investigators or retired officers to probe all minor cases of corruption.

If not, the MACC’s claim to tackle corruption at all cost will be seen as a farce.

Bruclax: Keep at it, Rajiv. We need to expose these unusual delays. There are similar cases of police reports that seem to share the same delay or dumped in the “take no further action” folder.

If authorities do not want to proceed with further action, they will just delay probing the cases. Or worse still, evidence disappears or gets tampered with.

MS: Rajiv, you should do what MACC chief Latheefa Koya did. Call for a press conference, read out the complaints, reveal the names of those suspected of corruption and abuse of power and then get the investigation circus going.

It works like magic for MACC. But then, there may be attempts to reach a “happy ending” as suggested by someone recently.

Remember this “happy ending” formula is what led to firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim inquest and verdict while ignoring the 50 Malay thugs who ran amok at the Hindu temple and who are still at large.
