LETTER | The Malaysiakini article 'Ashes' remark - House moves to sanction Pasir Salak MP.

I wish to refer to the statement in Parliament yesterday by the Pasir Salak member of Parliament Tajuddin Abdul Rahman when he claimed that he had already apologised to all Hindus in Malaysia.

I also wish to refer to the statement at the Umno general assembly today by Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who is also the member of Parliament for Bagan Datoh, who claimed that Tajuddin had already apologised for his remarks.

I wish to state that Tajuddin has not until today tendered any unreserved and unconditional open apology to Hindus in this country.

I wish to state again that Tajuddin has only jokingly retracted his remarks in Parliament and that, too, after being repeatedly asked to do so by me and other members of Parliament of Pakatan Harapan after he made the remark against me.

I urge Tajuddin to be a gentleman and say "Sorry" to all Hindus in Malaysia who are still very hurt, upset and angered by his remarks in Parliament.
