The National Games to select Malaysia's representative for the first International Water Stilts Lion Dance Championship 2019 was held on 30 November 2019 at the National Aquatic Centre.

The Tai Tong White Crane Lion Dance team emerged victorious, while the Kwong Ngai Lion Dance team clinched second place.
