Zahid envisions another Perak coup and 8 news from yesterday

KINI ROUNDUP | Key headlines you may have missed yesterday, in brief.

1. Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi suggested that the opposition may be able to gain power in Perak before the next general election.

2. This comes after Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu was caught on video claiming war against coalition partner DAP but Bersatu Youth chief Syed Sadiq Abdul Rahman said he hopes it can be resolved "within the family".

3. On a separate matter, Syed Saddiq, who is also the youth and sports minister, said he won't tolerate the PAS-led government barring women from joining gymnastics.

4. MCA president Wee Ka Siong cried foul after free sim cards were offered at a Pakatan Harapan ceramah in conjunction with the Tanjung Piai by-election.

5. Johor DAP chief Liew Chin Tong warned that BN will intensify racial attacks if it wins the Tanjung Piai by-election as it would signal an endorsement of such tactics.
