1. During oral submissions for the prosecution’s case against former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak in the SRC International trial, prosecutors argued that the defence’s objections were mere afterthoughts and claimed that a money laundering charge could still stick even if predicate offences are not proven.

2. The government will spend RM5.1 billion this year and the next to pay off debts taken out by 1MDB and its former subsidiary SRC International, said Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng, on top of RM8.93 billion already paid.
