KINI ROUNDUP | Here are key headlines you may have missed yesterday, in brief.

1. Padang Rengas MP Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz challenged Umno to sack him, and also reminded leaders of what happened when the party acted against Muhyiddin Yassin and Mohd Shafie Apdal, who went on to form their own parties and help defeat BN in the last general election.

2. Najib Abdul Razak fired back at Nazri's criticism over his appointment as teh chairperson of the BN advisory board, claiming that the latter had acted against the interest of the coalition.

3. Former Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin said Najib should not use the party as a "shield" against his graft cases, adding that those who speak up against his appointment as BN adviser should not be treated as outcasts.

4. Putrajaya seized US$243.25 million (RM999.2 million) from China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Ltd, a year after it suspended two pipeline projects, valued at US$2.3 billion, on which the company was the lead contractor.

5. Perak exco Abdul Yunus Jamhari lodged a counter police report over graft allegations against him, but Perak PKR chief Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak said the matter should not be dismissed as mere "conspiracy".
