Haziq's body looks different now - division leader claims 'confession' video fake
Santubong PKR chief Ahmad Nazib Johari is convinced that Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz has been framed with regard to the confession video attributed to the latter.
He also vouched for Haziq, who is the division's Youth chief.
"It is not him in the confession video. It is someone else, it is not him... If we look at the video, it appears to have been edited. His head has been edited," he told Malaysiakini.
"After he started working for the deputy minister, he stopped going to the gym and lost his badan sado (muscular body). His body has since shrunk.
"The body in the video is his old body from before, it is not him now. Even his face and hair (look different now), it is not him. And that is not his voice," he added.
Nazib (left in photo) was certain of this because he celebrated Hari Raya with Haziq in Sarawak last week.
Claiming to have known Haziq for a decade, he said the 27-year-old political aide has been loyal to the Reformasi struggle since his student days.
He also clarified that Haziq did not work for former BN minister Nancy Shukri in the lead up to the 14th general election.
"He only interned with her when he was a Perdana Fellow. He has never been a PBB member. He has never left PKR or joined any BN party.
"He has a good personality and is a good person. He has never had a criminal record or moral issues.
"I know he would never involve himself in any immoral activities," said the division leader.
However, Nazib admitted that he had not contacted Haziq since the sex video scandal surfaced.
He also blamed the opposition for what he termed as slander, claiming that it was crafted with the intention to decimate PKR.
Earlier, PKR vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin claimed that Haziq, who is the private secretary to Deputy Primary Industry Minister Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, had a dubious background and is known to be close to the opposition.
She also defended the PKR senior leader and federal minister implicated in the sex clip, which was released on Tuesday.
Early this morning, a video was posted on Haziq's Facebook page confirming the video.
