Two more men nabbed over police patrol car inspection
Police today arrested two more men believed to have inspected a police patrol car in front of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Chung Hua, Rantau, on Saturday.
Acting Negeri Sembilan police chief Mohamad Mat Yusop said police picked up the two suspects from two separate locations in Nilai and Rantau at about 11.30am this morning.
"The men in their 20s and 40s completed the arrest of five men believed to be involved in the incident.
“Three of them were apprehended yesterday and were remanded for three days from today while the remand for the other two is in the process,” he told reporters after a media conference in Seremban today.
On Saturday, at about 6pm, five men stopped and inspected a police patrol car as they believed the policemen were carrying additional ballot papers in front SJKC Chung Hua, but the booth was opened, only to reveal an emergency medical kit and a safety cone.
Meanwhile, the three suspects aged between 36 and 50 who were detained earlier were investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing civil servants from carrying out their duties.
The three in orange lockup uniform arrived in the court compound at 8.30am.
Mohamad said the three suspects - a car salesman, a lorry driver and a chicken trader - were detained between 12 noon and 4pm yesterday at three separate locations in the district.
