1. Attorney-General Tommy Thomas initiated contempt proceedings against lawyer Arun Kasi for criticising a court decision to expunge parts of a dissenting judgment from Court of Appeal judge Hamid Sultan Abu Backer, but the move was met with criticism.

2. Hamid Sultan was questioned by the police after the Federal Court lodged a report over his affidavit alleging corruption and impropriety in the judiciary.
