PAS central committee member Mokhtar Senik foresees that his party's alliance with Umno will spell ruin for Pakatan Harapan, and prime minister-in-waiting Anwar Ibrahim.

Mokhtar said PAS and Umno will capture states held by Harapan, as well as the federal government.

"Anwar won't get to become deputy prime minister (even)," he said in a Facebook post today.

Anwar is supposed to take over as prime minister from Dr Mahathir Mohamad, although when and how the transition would take place is yet to be made public.

Mokhtar was responding to a Sept 2018 article citing PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli as saying that the PAS-Umno alliance would open up opportunities for Harapan to capture Kelantan and Terengganu.

He said the PAS-Umno alliance would also see Rafizi without a ministerial position.

Meanwhile, in a later post, Mokhtar further predicted that PKR deputy president Azmin Ali will become deputy prime minister instead of Anwar.

"Azmin will become deputy prime minister. After Mahathir retires, Azmin will become prime minister and Mukhriz will be the deputy, that is if Harapan can live longer than the 15th general election.

"Where will Anwar be (then)? Will PKR be shouting 'reformasi' again? And at that time will PAS once again answer Anwar's 'reformasi' call?" he pondered.
