PARLIAMENT | The Communications and Multimedia Ministry will organise a nationhood exhibition in 15 locations throughout the country to boost the spirit of patriotism among the public.

Its minister Gobind Singh said the exhibition will be held next year through various agencies under the ministry.

“To boost the spirit of patriotism, the ministry also plans to engage with the younger generation through such programmes like the Kelab Malaysiaku Programme, the Pewaris Negara Programme and Sketsa Rukun Negara,” he said during the oral question session at the Dewan Negara today.

He was replying to a question from Senator Hanafi Mamat who asked what programmes will be held to boost the spirit of patriotism and love for the nation.

Gobind said the ministry also planned to organise programmes like speech competitions on nationhood, aspiration camps, a forum called ‘Apa Kata Anak Malaysia’ and a discussion programme on parliamentary democracy.

He added that the government would continue to publish materials on its policies and nationhood as well as inter-racial unity to be distributed to the public.

“They will be distributed in the form of books, mini books, coffee-table books, magazines, bulletins and digital books,” he said.
