After death of infant, DPM wants heavier punishments for child rapists

Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has suggested heavier punishments for perpetrators who commit sexual offences against children.

Wan Azizah, who is also the minister of Women, Family, and Community Development, was responding to a recent incident in Bangi, where a nine-month-old baby died after being allegedly raped, sodomised and abused by the husband of her caretaker.
