Yoursay: Don’t just stop at Zahid in 1MDB dragnet

YOURSAY | 'Looks like Lokman still believes it was his boss' right to dip his hands in the kitty.'

Lokman claims Zahid may face charges as well

Fair Play: Umno supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam, why would you give away your “friends in the Finance Ministry, police and MACC”? Surely this is nothing more than an invite for them to be flushed out when Pakatan Harapan’s spring cleaning is done with. Are you the Raja Petra Kamaruddin of Umno?

Vote BN Out: This is exactly what Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad is worried about. Too many Umno friends in the enforcement bodies who will use everything in their power to thwart the investigation and prosecution of the Umno crooks.

Mahathir wants to identify these “friends” and weed them out. A step at a time, and you will see many of them changing camps in no time.

Malaysian-United: Oh you have "friends" in the Finance Ministry, MACC and police? Good. Now please go after all these "friends" and charge them for leaking information to Umno. Shouldn't be that hard to find out. With the appropriate interrogative techniques, the Special Branch will get Lokman to reveal all his moles.

Hmmmmmmmm: So, did your "friends" in the Finance Ministry, police or MACC tell you when you will be charged?

Nagu: Why stop at former deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi? Why not Umno leaders Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Azalina Othman Said et al? All should be thoroughly investigated and audited for their assets and income sources.

Anonymous_c97f73f1: So this is why Umno leaders have been rushing to meet Mahathir and trying to form a unity government. Stop dreaming.

Don’t Just Talk: As the book gets thrown at more and more bottom-feeders, they will be found to have a share of the stolen funds from 1MDB. But this is something Lokman does not seem to understand – unless he believes that the money was stolen legitimately?

Anonymous_8a8199e7: Maybe the authorities should also knock on Lokman’s door. He seems to be rich enough not to have a day job.

Anonymous 1689721435778173: Hey Lokman. Who doesn't know that Zahid is also under investigation? It is obvious. This is why he has been doing nothing, but hoping against hope that Umno gets to form a unity government with Harapan.

This way, he hopes to get off the hook and dodge the spotlight of investigators. And it probably doesn’t end with Zahid; the whole party reeks of big-time corruption. This is why Mahathir set out to destroy Umno – Bersatu has to take its place.

RM2.6 Billion Turkey Haram: No surprise that Zahid might be charged as well. If indeed he has a share of the stolen funds or told lies about the Arab donor, he deserves to be hauled up.

Do not portray him as being victimised. Going by the silence of many Umno leaders who were very vociferous defending Najib while in power, I believe more of the party’s leaders would be charged for corruption or money laundering.

Anonymous_1527925538: He now feels lonely and scared, and so he wants to drag Zahid down with him for some company.

Jose Moaninho: If Ali Baba is charged, then his 40 thieves must also be charged. Even a primary school student would know that.

The People Of Selangor: All these thieves are shameless and still dare to open their mouths publicly. You steal our money and continue to strut around like gangsters.

Vintage9: Well, all people who have accepted ‘donations’ from Jibby can expect to be charged in court. It’s the new Malaysia. Everything is done by the book – nothing political about it.

These monies have been robbed from the people of Malaysia, while the crooks have been hiding behind political protective cover. Now that this is no more, anyone guilty should be very afraid, and not look for excuses to brush away the charges of theft and deceit.

Anonymous_18a07345: If Lokman is so concerned about the 100 charges he thinks former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak is going to be slapped with, he can share some of them.

Anonymous 287211434594786: There are likely many Umno leaders, their families and extended families who have kept the stolen millions. Files must be opened for each one of them.

The money belongs to the country and must be returned so that we can pay those whom we owe. Shame on the BN parties that have spent and are still keeping the stolen money. Return it to the Treasury!

The Wakandan: Well, Lokman, are you surprised that in new Malaysia you find your immunity disappearing? You will have to answer for anything you have done in the past. If there are 100 charges against Najib, then it shows the magnitude of his crime during his tenure of heading the government.

The problem with you guys is that you think the country’s resources actually belonged to your grandfathers and that everything was for you to help yourself. Well, now is the time of reckoning.

Anonymous_1527925538: Only interested in when MACC and the police are going to charge Lokman.

Newday: Yes, Lokman, possibly 100 charges for now. Just to think about the combined amount of charges in 12 months’ time. We may set a Guinness World Record the way this web of deceit and vast corruption is unfolding. Where will you be on the charge list, Lokman?

Anonymous_1534239867: Looks like Lokman still believes it was Najib's right to dip his hands in the kitty and help himself.

SmartTraveller: Umno is dying slowly. No more contracts, no more cronies. No more dedak, no more hooligan supporters. No leadership. No direction after the 2018 annual general assembly.

Patathewoonie: Lokman thinks he knows a lot, but there’s info available anywhere. He should stop his foolish acts and wait for the charges. He, too, may go down with Najib and Zahid.

RZee: Najib doesn't need to shut up or be told to shut up. He can speak from jail. What are you talking about Lokman? Do you admire and condone these acts? If you say you do, you’d understand why no one wants Umno back in power.

Anonymous: Everyone in Umno surely has 'curi-curi wang Malaysia'.
