Youth satisfied with GE14 result, says Merdeka Center survey

A survey conducted by Merdeka Center showed that 92 percent of those aged between 21 and 30 were satisfied with the recent general election result though only about 65 percent thought the country was heading in the right direction.

The survey, conducted from May 16 to 31, engaged 558 people nationwide, said Merdeka Center researcher Ehsan Shah Wahid who presented his findings at a forum co-organised by Watan in Petaling Jaya, today.

"Our findings showed that 48 percent went out to vote as they felt that voting was their civic duty while 31 percent voted because of the need for change...
