Three-cornered fight in Sg Kandis

The Sungai Kandis by-election is a three-cornered fight between Pakatan Harapan's Mohd Zawawi Ahmad Mughni, BN's Lokman Noor Adam, and independent candidate Murthy Krishnasamy.

Selangor PKR dismissed Lokman's claim of internal tensions over Mohd Zawawi's nomination.

BN denied MCA was not helping in the Sungai Kandis campaign, while Umno secretary-general Annuar Musa said negotiations with PAS for the poll was a success.

Students protest UEC recognition

A group of 100 students protested against Pakatan Harapan's plans to recognise the United Examination Certificate (UEC).

Bersatu member Rais Yatim said the UEC must be integrated with the SPM and STPM.

The Education Ministry said its plans to phase out white school shoes will be done in stages.
