In the past, Pakatan Harapan slammed the Johor BN government for not recognising state opposition leader and giving a fair development allocation to the opposition.
However, Harapan's new menteri besar Osman Sapian does not appear ready to change this policy now that BN is on the opposition bench.
When asked on whether the new state administration will recognise the state opposition leader, Osman had to consult with Johor Amanah chief Aminolhuda Hassan, who sat beside him, before giving an answer.
“We will think about it. Currently we have not made it official. If we want to officially appoint them, we need to look at our finances. We have other commitments so we need to see our financial strength.
“Federal is different if you want to compare state with federal. We cannot follow federal 100 percent,” he told a press conference in Johor Bahru today.
