Court rejects challenge over dubious voters in Wangsa Maju

A PKR branch leader in Wangsa Maju today failed to obtain leave at the High Court in Kuala Lumpur to challenge the alleged presence of some 7,000 dubious voters which led to a sudden rise of voters in the area.

Justice Nordin Hassan refused to grant leave after allowing a preliminary objection by senior federal counsels Suzana Atan and Shamsul Bolhassan, from the Attorney-General's Chambers, ruling that an electoral roll once gazetted cannot be challenged in court under Section 9A the Election Act 1958...
