GE14 | Bersatu will be fielding 12 candidates to contest in three parliamentary seats and nine state seats in Selangor in the 14th general election.

Selangor Bersatu chairperson Abdul Rashid Asari, in making the announcement in Shah Alam today, said the three candidates for the parliamentary seats were Kalam Salan (Sabak Bernam), Mohd Ashyraf Basri (Sungai Besar) and Dr Zulkaferi Hanafi (Tanjong Karang).

For the nine state seats, the candidates were Mohd Hamizar Sulaiman (Sungai Air Tawar), Mohd Azmil Misman (Sungai Burong), Harumaini Omar (Batang Kali), Mohd Najib Itam Othman (Jeram) and Abd Wahid Bidin (Kuang).

Rashid himself would contest in the Selat Klang state seat, while Mohd Rais Zulkifli in Semenyih, Roszani Roslan in Sijangkang and Adhif Syan Abdullah in Dengkil.

The announcement clearly shows that Pakatan Harapan had rejected Bersatu’s earlier intention to contest in the 12 BN state seats won in the 13th general election.
