As the election looms, PAS has once again justified not working with DAP and PKR, blaming the two for the break up of the former Pakatan Rakyat.

According to Umno-owned Utusan Malaysia, PAS spiritual leader Hashim Jasin was reported claiming throughout their involvement with Pakatan, the two parties had allegedly not respected the Islamist party and “betrayed” them to the point of break up.

“I admit at the time we were on good terms, when DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng came to Perlis, I embraced him and we even helped DAP when they contested Titi Tinggi."
