EPF announces 21-year high dividend

The Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) announced a 6.9 percent dividend for conventional savings, the highest in 21 years.

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak claimed the big payout was due to good investments and good management.

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng reminded Najib that he had witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the state and a Chinese firm on the Penang undersea tunnel.
