Gerakan Wanita has passed a resolution to urge parliamentarians to reject the proposed amendments to the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965, or Act 355.

The resolution was passed at Gerakan Wanita’s 30th National Delegates Conference held at the PGRM Tower today.

The proposed amendments was first brought by PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang as a private member’s bill last year, and was fast-tracked by the government in the Dewan Rakyat in May last year...
