DAP rep lodges report against AGC's 'interference' in police probe

Kampung Tunku assemblyperson Lau Weng San today lodged a report against a special task force established by the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) to monitor investigations into MACC chief Dzulkifli Ahmad's alleged extra-marital affair.

Lau lodged the report at the Dang Wangi police station this morning but was later requested to present himself at the Petaling Jaya police station to have his statement recorded. He was accompanied by former Selangor executive councillor Ronnie Liu.

In his report, Lau urged the police to investigate the task force under Section 186 of the Penal Code, which concerns “obstructing a public servant in discharge of his public functions”. Offenders under this section can be punished with up to two years jail or an RM10,000 fine, or both, if found guilty...
