PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli has claimed that a Felda Investment Corp (FIC) subsidiary was only registered on Oct 13, the same day he made an exposé about the firm not owning its hotels in London.

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Razali Ibrahim, however, disputed this saying no company was registered on that day. Instead, he said they were duplicates of the company's registration documents, which were certified as true copies on Oct 13.

Rafizi had on Oct 13, claimed that Felda's Grand Plaza Kensington Hotel was owned by a shell company registered in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) named FIC London Hotel (Private) Limited. (Editor's note: To be referred to as "BVI FLH" for clarity.)

Rafizi further claimed that BVI FLH was not owned by FIC or Felda.

FIC, together with Felda chairperson Shahrir Samad and Razali, sought to debunk this at a press conference yesterday, by saying that it owned FLH.

However, Rafizi claimed that the FLH mentioned by Felda yesterday was only registered in the BVI on the same day he made his exposé about BVI FLH.
