Drivers' association aims to put pressure on Uber, Grab
ADS

The newly-formed Pertubuhan Pemandu Berasaskan Aplikasi Elektronik Malaysia (PPBAEM) held its first annual general assembly yesterday, where it decided to put pressure on Uber and Grab to reform their employment practices.

The association said its first course of action would be to submit a memorandum to both ridesharing companies about the problems faced by their drivers.

According to PPBAEM vice-president Nic Lee, these include unfair treatment, as well as an opaque reward and punishment mechanism.
