Court finds forgery in Lingam's case

The Federal Court ruled that a medical certificate submitted by senior lawyer VK Lingam (photo), saying that he was not medically fit to attend contempt proceedings in court, was a forgery.

Lingam denied that the document was forged, and said he would file a review against the decision.

The Court of Appeal dismissed a bid by the Attorney-General's Chambers and former attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail to strike out Selangor exco Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad's suit for malicious prosecution.
