Prasarana believes ex-IGP Khalid will enhance public transport safety

Former inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar, who retired on Sept 5, clocked-in at his new job as the Prasarana Malaysia Bhd chairperson today.

Clad in his new white Prasarana uniform, Khalid appeared at the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the state rail operator and SMRT Corporation Ltd from Singapore on a new rail project - Rapid Transit System Link (RTS).

While the social media savvy former top cop did not say a word to the media, Prasarana president and group chief executive officer Azmi Abdul Aziz "officially introduced" him at the event.

Azmi touched briefly on how Khalid, who had 40 over years of experience with the police force, is needed in the public transport sector...
