The 'Kembara Jelajah Anti Rasuah' (Kejar) expedition programme is a good platform for the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to get close to the public.

Sabah MACC director Sazali Sabli said the programme enabled MACC to get close to the public and urged them to fight against corruption and power abuse while educating them.

"We also hope that through this programme, the public would not fear MACC. Instead, we want MACC to be people-friendly, yet feared by those who are involved in corruption,” he told reporters after attending the Kejar flagging off ceremony at the Sabah Federal Government Administration Complex in Kota Kinabalu today.

Sazali said the 45-member convoy on high power motorcycles was held in collaboration with the Sabah Big Bikers Association (SBBA).

"We always welcome collaboration from various associations in anti-corruption programmes as it reflects their commitment in assisting MACC,” he added.

The one-day convoy will travel through several districts, namely, Papar, Mambakut, Beaufort, Sipitang before ending in Sindumin.
