The government will be organising a month-long exhibition to showcase its successes in developing the nation's infrastructure.

The brainchild of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, the exhibition will also highlight the various initiatives he has planned, including water and electricity infrastructures, increasing broadband speeds and modernising the agriculture sector.

The Malay Mail Online reported Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Abdul Rahman Dahlan as saying in a statement that the "Negaraku 2017" expo will allow members of the public to review these projects.

"We have achieved a lot to this date. We have crossed various hurdles and challenges to achieve the development which we have today, and we never imagined some of it would even happen in this country.

“To date, we already have a complete and world-class land transportation network, like the MRT, which was just launched by the prime minister this year. We also will have the Pan Borneo Highway, Bandar Malaysia, MyHSR, ECRL and various other huge plans by the prime minister to increase the quality of living of Malaysians," Rahman said.

His statement was read out by Economic Planning Unit (EPU) director-general Nik Azman Nik Abdul Majid.

The exhibit will be held at Dataran Merdeka for one month, starting Nov 15. Entry is free.

Rahman said visitors to the expo's five domes will have an interactive experience, featuring the latest technologies.
