PAS' boast of capturing five states is an impossibility, says Kit Siang

DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang said PAS' boast of capturing five states in the next general election is an impossibility.

"PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang had boasted that PAS would win five state governments in the 14 General Election, namely Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Pahang and Selangor.

"There is no possibility whatsoever of PAS winning Terengganu, Kedah, Pahang and Selangor although the question is open as to whether PAS would lose power in Kelantan which PAS had won for six consecutive general elections since 1999," Lim said in a statement today.

The only way this could be possible, Lim said, was some form of arrangement between PAS and Umno.

"Would Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak agree to allow PAS to run five state governments in Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Pahang and Selangor while Najib concentrates on winning Umno parliamentary seats - even to the extent of winning back the two-thirds parliamentary majority for Umno/BN in Parliament?" he asked...
