Tensions within PKR continued to boil as the party's political bureau reaffirmed its commitment to Pakatan Harapan following the opposition coalition's decision to close its door to PAS.

PKR deputy president Azmin Ali was reportedly supposed to present a proposal on negotiations with PAS to the Harapan leadership council on Monday, but this was denied by PKR vice-president Tian Chua.

PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli said he had been avoiding political bureau meetings for a year because differing views were never resolved ever since de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim was jailed.

Rafizi also refuted allegations that he was an agent of Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, saying he had only met the latter once in 2012.

PAS snubs PKR's ‘begging’

PAS ulama treasurer Khairuddin Aman Razali said the party was not interested to work with PKR which had been "begging" for cooperation.

Malaysiakini is running a poll to gauge public opinion on whether PKR should continue talks with PAS.

Former Kelantan PKR youth chief Dr Hafidz Rizal Amran said his removal from the position went against the wishes of Anwar, who wanted to see continued negotiations with PAS.

Penang PKR Youth went against national deputy Youth chief Dr Afif Bahardin by supporting Harapan's decision that there would be no more talks with PAS.

A DAP assemblyperson unfriended PKR's Tian Chua and fellow party vice-president Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin on Facebook over their alleged support of negotiations with PAS.

Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah said the late Abdul Razak would be disappointed with the state of the country if the former leader were still alive today.

The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) said it planned to go after professionals who have been evading their taxes in the coming months.
