Special congress mooted over PAS talks

PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli called for a special congress to resolve the split in PKR over whether to continue electoral negotiations with PAS.

PKR partners in Pakatan Harapan said they respected PKR's right to negotiate with PAS but warned it could hurt the opposition coalition's electoral preparations.

PAS Ulama treasurer Khairuddin Aman Razali remains adamant that his party will not engage in talks with Harapan parties despite PKR claiming informal talks.

PSM sees Najib's tactics in Dr M's move

Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) said Pakatan Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad was emulating Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak in his courtship of Persatuan Hindraf Malaysia.

Former Bersih chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan noted that Harapan's top leadership lacked Indian representation amid Mahathir’s attempt to reach out to Indian groups.

CM irked by threat to stop Penang reclamation

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said he was shocked by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's threat not to approve reclamation works in the state, pointing out that states like Kedah had even proceeded without a Detailed Environmental Impact Assessment.

DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang warned MACC chief Dzulkifli Ahmad on exercising his powers after the latter issued an ultimatum against Guan Eng to apologise for suggesting MACC's detainment of Penang exco Phee Boon Poh was illegal.
