BN hammers on Dr M-PHM talks

Umno vice-president Hishammuddin Hussein said Pakatan Harapan chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad was growing desperate if he was willing to rope Persatuan Hindraf Malaysia (PHM) into Pakatan Harapan.

MCA central committee member Ti Lian Ker questioned DAP's sincerity in moving away from politics along racial lines, following Mahathir's overtures to PHM.

Parti Pribumi Bersatu Youth chief Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman said he would quit if Mahathir, his son Mukhriz, or party president Muhyiddin Yassin reverted to their old Umno ways.

Meanwhile, Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayub said PAS was dredging up the ghost of the Memali incident to attack Mahathir and gain support.

Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi took a veiled swipe at Mahathir, saying Umno members should not be like "22-year-old water bottles" that are thrown away when empty.

DAP wants more Kedah seats

DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang said the party could help Harapan win Kedah, if it gets to contest two additional seats in the state.

Gerakan president Mah Siew Keong dared Lim to contest in Penang against BN state chief Teng Chang Yeow.

Zahid has called on Penang BN to get out of its comfort zone and reclaim the state.
