Rizal Mansor, an aide to the prime minister's wife Rosmah Mansor, has called on Malaysians to put a stop to the atheist club which he described as a "plague".

He warned that failing to do so may see them becoming emboldened like the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transexual (LGBT) community.

"The issue of the atheist club cannot be taken lightly. Even though they are conducting their activities quietly, there will come a time where they will dare to speak up like the LGBT supporters do today.

"I invite all the people, particularly parents, to clearly voice out their objections and put an end to the atheist club in Malaysia...
