Zahid reveals Dr M's 'plot'

Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's has finally revealed his version of what had allegedly transpired during a meeting with Dr Mahathir Mohamad in 2015.

Zahid, who claimed both parties have recordings of the said meeting, said the conversation had touched on Mahathir's plans to engineer a vote of no-confidence against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

Speaking at the Jerlun Umno division annual general meeting, Zahid also claimed to have always been disliked by Mahathir and that the former was forced to resign as Umno Youth chief in 1998.

Meanwhile, BN-friendly websites and blogs attacked Mahathir for claiming ignorance of the Scorpene submarines deal.

PM applies muzzle on Pua

Najib succeeded in securing a court order to prevent Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua from repeating certain words he uttered in a video clip uploaded to Facebook.

The prime minister also blogged about how the goods and services tax (GST) made up for the revenue shortfall due to falling oil prices and why Mahathir was wrong to claim that proceeds from the goods and services tax would be used to pay 1MDB's debts.
